2009-10-22 · Watch Kobi record their new album Kobi recently recorded material for an LP planned for release next year. Our friend Per Gisle Galåen filmed some of the session, and the result is now available on YouTube in two parts.
2009-07-06 · Free Kobi show tomorrow at Sound of Mu Kobi will play an improvised set of dark drones and nocturnal noises to a film by Kai Mikalsen at Sound of Mu in Oslo tomorrow night. For those who missed the band's epic four hour concert at the På med ørene! festival at Henie Onstad Art Centre recently, or for those who would like to hear more, this is a golden and free opportunity.
2009-07-04 · DEL release party tonight
There will be a private release party at Brugata 3A tonight for DEL's new double live tape Excellent Choice, recently released on my cassette label Kassettkultur. I play on sides A and B of the tape, but will not be performing at this show, so the lineup will be the same as on side C, i.e. the usual suspects of Messrs. Galåen, Jenssen, Marhaug and Sevendal. The tape set and other DEL records will of course be for sale at the party.
2009-06-10 · Kobi - At All Ears live DVD-R out now
End of huM has just released the new Kobi DVD-R At All Ears. This film documents Kobi's performance at the All Ears festival at Fabrikken in Oslo on January 18, 2008, where the band played an improvised set of dark drones and nocturnal noises to a video by Kai Mikalsen. Carsten Aniksdal and Sølve Sæther filmed the concert. The final film is a mix of these recordings and the background video. Edited and produced by Kai Mikalsen.
2009-06-01 · Double DEL tape out now Kassettkultur, the cassette label I co-run with Kjetil Hanssen of Ambolthue Records, finally
has its first release ready. It's a double tape featuring four distorted and explosive live performances by Norwegian drone-space-freak-psychedelic-noise-rockers DEL.
The first tape was recorded in Dunedin and Auckland during the band's Sheep Tricks Tour of New Zealand in 2005, while the second tape features two shows in Oslo in 2006.
This 2xC40 is issued in a limited edition of 100 numbered copies in presentation cases with six variants of the silk screened cover art.

End of huM has just released a new Kobi box set simply called Live. It comes as a limited edition of only 22 plastic storage boxes, each featuring unique front artwork
and containing six discs: At All Ears DVD-R and At All Ears : Soundtrack CD-R recorded at the All Ears festival in 2008, Live In Norway CD-R featuring
recordings from Oslo in 2006 and Fredrikstad in 2008, Live In Japan CD-R with three recordings from 2007, Live 2006 DVD-R with recordings from Drammen and Oslo, and
Live 2003-2005 CD-R featuring four recordings from Oslo.

The current quintet lineup of Kobi will perform a four hour set of electroacoustic psychoambient at Henie Onstad Art Centre on Sunday, June 7th, as part of the one-day festival På med ørene! organized by Lasse Marhaug and Lars Mørk Finborud of the HOK music department. The festival also includes performances by White Lord Jesus, Metronomicon Audio's Centre Of The Universe and Ergo, Zweizz & HomoVinter, ALTAAR, Nude On Sand, Nils Bech & Bendik Giske and Årabrot feat. [concept.virus].

2008-10-26 · Two new releases on My First Record Label
Together with some good friends I had the pleasure of going to an exhibition of Christian Blandhoel's art project
My First Record Label at UKS in Oslo. This is a portable recording studio and label where
visitors can record their music using Christian's modified guitars/sculptures, which he refers to as sonics. The resulting material is made into limited edition CD-Rs
released on his label. I organized two recording sessions which resulted in two releases. For the first, Nothing With Ass In The Title, I teamed up with
Linda Baardsen, Martin Powell and
Christian Blandhoel himself. For the other, Fancy A Beer?, Martin and I was joined by Per Gisle Galåen
and Fredrik Ness Sevendal.

featuring remixes of the unplayable 7" anti-disc No Sides! issued by Gold Soundz last year in an edition of 10 copies.
Contributors are Pål Asle Pettersen, Koff Koff, Maskinanlegg, Iversen, Kjetil Hanssen, Cripple, Wrest and yours truly disguised as Static Electrician.
This CD-R is limited to 40 copies in spray painted card sleeeves with vinyl fragments glued onto the front.
2008-05-19 · Norwegian Noise Orchestra plays angry noise at Happy Days
I will play with Norwegian Noise Orchestra at Happy Days Sound Festival 2008 at Youngstorget in Oslo on May 31.
The festival is organized by Ny Musikk, the Norwegian section of the ISCM (International Society for Contemporary Music).
The theme for this year's festival is anger, so we should be able to let off some steam.

Tonight we celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Origami Republika's Klubb Kanin at Sound of Mu.
Kai Mikalsen A80 and Petter Flaten Eilertsen A219 will perform as Kobi. Other artists include Mr. Tipi, Origami Traumatika, Origami Vokstervisse, Origami Erratika, Origami Antarktika, Origami Galaktika, Origami Boe, Origami All-stars and Origami Kalima's DJ Olav MaraTHON.

I will be performing with Norwegian Noise Orchestra at Øyafestivalen tomorrow, August 9, so please come to the Teltet stage (the tent) at 7 pm to have your ears blown clean!

I will play some shows as Love Hz this year.
First up is a performance/installation at Sound of Mu in Oslo on March 10, as part of the Fritt Fall
concert series. Then I will travel to Japan with my friend Crazy River (Per Gisle Galåen) to play about ten concerts in late March and early April.

My friend Kjell Runar "Killer" Jenssen celebrates his 40th birthday on November 16. At the birthday party last Saturday
we surprised him with a new release on Rellik Records, a sub-label of his Killer Records.
The record is called A Killer Birthday and is issued as a lathe cut 7" in a limited edition of 40 numbered copies.

Artists Janne Jacobsen, Kai Mikalsen, Janicke Schønning and Berit Wilhelmsen present an installation in the marsipan department
of a disused chocolate factory. The exhibition is open from Friday, June 24 until Sunday, June 26 and the temporary gallery is located at
Sjokoladefabrikken, Stockholmsgt 12, Oslo. Various musical artists will be playing live.
